Jose’ Carretero
Piano, Keyboards, Synth

Virtuoso Jose Luis Carretero has been with Mel Ball and Colours since the early London Chop House days – giving him the distinction of performing for 4 United States Presidents and 3 Governors.  His extensive musical background began in Spain, where he received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in music (piano and classical guitar) from the higher Conservatory of Music - University of Malaga, Spain.  He continued his jazz studies at Wayne State University and Henry Ford Community College.   Jose is assistant Music Director of Renaissance Unity Church.

Jose Carretero is in great demand for his outstanding orchestrations, some of which can be heard on Motown Recording Artist, KEM, Platinum Album II (each Other).  Jose has composed the string arrangements for the motion picture, TAKE THE LEAD, staring Antonio Banderas, (Fascination) performed by KEM, and several other motion pictures and commercials
