Hubie Crawford is a legendary musical force in Detroit. Before joining Mel Ball and Colours in 1995, Hubie was Earl Klugh’s bassist for 7 years. During this period, Hubie was featured on 4 of Earl Klugh’s successful albums. Hubie Crawford has also performed with Mel Torme; Motown writers, Holland Dosier Holland and Mose Allison; Jazz guitarists Kenny Burrell and Herb Ellis; Marlena Shaw; and other national artists. Along with pianist Jose Carretero and drummer Loyce Joshua, Hubie completes the strong rhythm section that drives the band.
